Sally Bagshaw
Director, Snappy SentencesSally has been a copywriter for 15 years. She is the owner and Director of Snappy Sentences – a Brisbane-based copywriting business that specialises in writing for the web.
After studying business communications at QUT, Sally soon transitioned to the online world and hasn’t looked back. Her clients are a variety of large, small, private and government organisations including UQ Sport, Personalised Plates Queensland, Griffith University and HotFrog. She writes everything from banner advertising and landing pages, to message strategies, style guides, and traditional offline communication.
She will use her experience and knowledge to show you how to shape effective communication tools so that your message gets across. She will provide practical examples that you can take away and apply in your business.

Marissa Tree
Brisbane Team Leader & Senior Account Manager, Red AgencyMarissa Tree is an accomplished strategic communications consultant to the consumer and corporate sectors. Her unique mix of in-house and agency experience covers publicity and media management, events management, strategic marketing and brand management.
As Red Agency Brisbane’s Team Leader and Senior Account Manager is to produce consistent results for its clients and provide strategic direction on the key accounts, as well as manage new business and guidance for the growing team.
She has worked with a number of brands including The Coffee Club, PPQ, Vapiano Australia, Fairfax Digital, South East Qld Healthy Waterways, Herron Todd White, and Lenard’s.
Marissa maintains close relationships with a wide range of media in Brisbane and throughout regional Queensland, and a broad network of national and interstate contacts across both consumer and trade media.
She is well-versed in the large number of new and emerging digital media outlets that can all be leveraged to maximise communications campaigns, including blogs, Twitter and Facebook. She recently launched a blog called Connectuation which explores the connections between new and traditional communications.
Marissa holds a Bachelor of Business from QUT with double majors in Marketing (integrated marketing communications) and Management (organisational consulting) and is the Vice President of the Queensland council for the Public Relations Institute of Australia.
